Membership
According to the Constitution of APAARI, membership shall be open to national agricultural research institutions/councils/ organizations/ universities, etc. from countries of the Region. In countries where agricultural research is handled directly by a government department, the relevant unit/ bureau will be eligible to become member of the Association. Membership in the Association may be sought by submitting an application to the Executive Secretary in consultation with the Chairman of the Association. The membership of the Association shall also be open to such other organizations or bodies as may be decided by the General Assembly of the Association.
Categories of members and Membership Fee
There are three categories of members :
- Full members paying the membership fee and will have voting rights
- Associate members including public sector institution, universities, private sector institutions and NGO’s.
- Forum of partners such as CG Centers, World Bank, Asian Development Bank, South Pacific Commission, etc.
The first type of membership given above has further been divided into four categories on the basis of level of membership fee. Considering that the membership fee initially proposed is rather low, the levels of membership fee have also been revised.

| Category IV | Associate membership will be open for regional institutions IARCs/CG centers/ARIs/Private Sector ARD organizations |
