[aparis-forum] APARIS work plan 2011: needs assessment

Dear All,

 

Greetings from APAARI.........

 

We are in the process of preparing work plan of APARIS for the year 2011. We
would like to know the needs of national agricultural information systems to
design need-based programs for better impact. We would request you to
express your needs explicitly and help us to serve you better. Please
furnish your needs under the following headings:

 

1. Publications / Documentation

What type of publications / documentation (case studies, success stories,
reports, best practices, briefing papers etc.) you would need to update your
knowledge to support your organisation's activities. Mention topics /
subject areas in which you need documentation / publications that serve your
purpose.

 

 

 

 

 

2. Capacity Building

What type of capacity building programs (training, workshops, seminars,
expert meetings etc.) you would need to improve your capacities to manage
agricultural information systems at the national level or in your
organisation. Mention specific areas of ICT/ICM (technical and managerial)
in which you feel capacity is lacking or inadequate.

 

 

 

 

 

3. Advocacy for Change

What type of advocacy is needed to enable your agricultural information
system to work efficiently? Mention areas in which you feel APAARI, as a
regional organisation, should advocate for change in ICT/ICM for AR4D.

 

 

            

 

 

 

4. Information Systems and Services

What type of information systems and services APAARI should extend to you on
regular basis. Mention specific information exchange platforms, services and
tools that you feel important to share information and knowledge at the
regional level.

 

 

 

 

 

 

5. Any other needs
