We are pleased to announce that the 2025 TARASA Conference (TARASA25) will be held in Vientiane, Lao PDR, from November 24 to 27, 2025. The event will bring together participants from across the region to share experiences and explore transition pathways toward agroecology and regenerative agriculture, contributing to food system transformation in Asia and the Pacific.

TARASA25 is organized by the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry of Lao PDR and the Lao-facilitated Initiative on Agroecology for ASEAN (LICA). It is supported by the Agroecology and Safe Food Systems Transition (ASSET) project, GRET, CIRAD, FAO, Swisscontact, the Innovation for Sustainable Agriculture (ISA) project, the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UN-ESCAP), and the Centre for Sustainable Agricultural Mechanization (CSAM).

Call for Abstracts Now Open

TARASA25 invites abstract submissions from farmers, researchers, advisors, policymakers, and representatives of government, civil society, and the private sector across Asia and the Pacific. Abstracts should highlight recent research, development projects, or innovative fieldwork related to agroecology or regenerative agriculture.

Selected abstracts will be invited for 15-minute oral presentations to support dynamic discussions around building more sustainable food systems.
