APAARI’s collaboration with regional and international organizations is critical to the realization of the APAARI Vision 2030 and ultimately collective contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). APAARI partners with international agricultural research organizations, including the centres of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) that are part of the global research partnership for a food-secure future, as well as those under the Association of International Research and Development Centers for Agriculture (AIRCA). The key added value of APAARI is that it facilitates linkages among these regional centres and national agricultural research system (NARS) organizations and institutes in Asia-Pacific to promote collaboration between researchers, engagement with farmers, and faster adoption of agricultural innovations in rural areas. APAARI also partners with other regional and sub-regional fora to provide more opportunities for highlighting the key national and regional issues that APAARI members are facing, promote interregional learning, and ensure visibility of good practices, innovations and development models of APAARI members at sub-regional and regional levels.
