In partnership with Beanstalk AgTech and IFAD, Grow Asia has launched the Grow Asia Innovation Challenge. With generous support from Korea’s Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Rural Affairs, this initiative aims to bring climate-smart innovations and digital solutions to smallholder farmers across Southeast Asia.

Why This Matters

Southeast Asia is home to over 70 million agri-SMEs, and the transition to a sustainable, low-carbon economy is crucial for the region. However, only a small fraction of these farmers have access to digital technologies. Together, Grow Asia aims to change that. By introducing scalable, market-ready digital solutions, Grow Asia can help farmers improve productivity, gain better market access, and enhance climate resilience.

Join Us in Making a Difference

If you’re passionate about leveraging technology to drive sustainability in agriculture, join the Grow Asia Innovation Challenge!

Submit your digital solutions and become a part of this transformative journey. Selected innovators will have the chance to showcase their solutions at the Grow Asia Investment Forum on 16 October 2024 and participate in their human-centered design training programs.

For more information, visit: Grow Asia Innovation Challenge.

Grow Asia is also seeking best-fit strategic partners who will ensure this program delivers maximum benefit – for smallholders and agri-SMEs in Southeast Asia. Connect with Mr Pranav Rastogi (Head, Communications) at pranavrastogi@growasia.org for partnership options.

Tackling the Food and Climate Crisis: Exploring Solutions through the Global Conference on Climate Smart Agriculture https://www.apaari.org/tackling-the-food-and-climate-crisis-exploring-solutions-through-the-global-conference-on-climate-smart-agriculture/ Wed, 01 Feb 2023 06:27:13 +0000 https://www.apaari.org/?p=83904

Date: 27th -29th March, 2023

Venue: Vadlamudi, Andhra Pradesh (India)

About the Conference:

The availability of food is seriously threatened by the growing global population and shifting dietary preferences. By 2050, the world would need to produce nearly 70% (FAO estimate) more food to feed the estimated 9 billion population. This challenge is compounded by the agriculture industry’s vulnerability to the impacts of climate change.

Climate-Smart Agriculture (CSA) is an integrated approach for transforming and reorienting the agri-food systems towards green and climate-resilient practices. It is concerned about the achievement of sustainability in the agriculture sector (economic, social, and environmental), that addresses the interlinked challenges of food security and climate change.
In this backdrop, Vignan’s Foundation for Science Technology & Research (VFSTR) is organizing Global Conference on “Climate Smart Agriculture” with technical collaboration of Asia-Pacific Association of Agricultural Research Institutions (APAARI), International Crops Research Institute for the Semi-Arid Tropics (ICRISAT), Plant Protection Association of India (PPAI), Dr. Y.S.R. Horticultural University (Dr. YSRHU), Professor Jayashankar Telangana State Agricultural University (PJTSAU), Sri Konda Laxman Telangana State Horticultural University (SKLTSHU) during 27th to 29th March 2023. This conference is envisioned as a platform intended to discuss the Climate Change perspectives, challenges and optimizations. There is a need to discuss threadbare with all stakeholders globally to attain the objectives of Climate Smart Agriculture and in-turn to help the farming community and to protect the environment.
