RFP FOR SERVICES AS THE FOOD AND AGRICULTURE RESEARCH PROVIDER 2023 https://www.apaari.org/rfp-for-services-as-the-food-and-agriculture-research-provider-2023/ https://www.apaari.org/rfp-for-services-as-the-food-and-agriculture-research-provider-2023/#comments Tue, 20 Sep 2022 09:41:59 +0000 https://www.apaari.org/?p=79606

This Request for Proposal (RFP) sets out a draft scope of work for research provider support required to deliver the World Benchmarking Alliance (WBA) benchmarks related to the food and agriculture sector, defined as 350 keystone food and agriculture companies. The respective WBA benchmarks are the Food and Agriculture Benchmark and the Nature Benchmark. The RFP is provided to enable interested parties to develop initial cost estimates and options to deliver the scope and as such should not be viewed as any form of agreement between you and the WBA.

The research provider is not expected to create or revise a methodology, but to assess companies using the Food and Agriculture Benchmark and Nature methodology. The key deliverables will be 356 draft company research profiles that WBA’s own core team of staff will finalise following (WBA-led) engagement with benchmarked companies.

EXPECTATIONS OF THE PROPOSAL
We expect that your proposal will, first and foremost, include an estimate of the personnel and financial resources required to produce the expected deliverables listed herein. Furthermore, WBA anticipates that you will be able to demonstrate how you will deliver in three key areas:

  • Research process and quality: interpreting large volumes of written data and scoring companies consistently against our methodology.
  • Food and agriculture sector familiarity: depth of and proven knowledge regarding environmental, biodiversity, nutrition and social sustainability issues and business.
  • Research intensity: being able to handle in-depth research of around 350 companies within condensed timeframes.

Responses to this RFP should be sent to s.posa@worldbenchmarkingalliance.org by 7 October 2022.

Request for proposals: ICIMOD/SERVIR-HKH Small Grants Programme https://www.apaari.org/request-for-proposals-icimod-servir-hkh-small-grants-programme/ https://www.apaari.org/request-for-proposals-icimod-servir-hkh-small-grants-programme/#comments Fri, 18 Feb 2022 14:56:59 +0000 https://www.apaari.org/?p=81053

SERVIR Hindu Kush Himalaya (SERVIR-HKH) is inviting proposals for the SERVIR-HKH small grants programme to help grow the network of government agencies, universities, and institutions in the HKH region that utilize geospatial tools and information to improve decision-making related to sustainable mountain development with a special focus on climate change and adaptation, vulnerability, or mitigation in relation with agriculture, food security, and disaster risk reduction.

This RFP invites concept papers to explore innovative approaches and thinking to help relevant organizations speed their transition to climate-resilient, sustainable economic growth through improved policy and practice.

The SERVIR-HKH programme seeks to broaden its network of organizations that work with geospatial tools and information by funding proposals that can enhance the existing services and focus on the last-mile connectivity of the services. Proposals that leverage existing services to address current development limitations are encouraged. Innovative ideas to extend SERVIR services to integrate socio-economic data to support damage and/or risk assessments would be encouraged.

ICIMOD/SERVIR-HKH may choose to fully fund or incrementally fund the chosen application(s). SERVIR-HKH expects to award 4-5 grants. Individual grants will not exceed USD 30,000. For this call, applications will be accepted from institutions based in Bangladesh, Nepal, and Pakistan.

Concept papers are due 25 March 2022.
