The African Agri Investment Indaba (AAII), Africa’s leading investment platform dedicated to food and agriculture, has officially announced that its 2026 edition will be held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, from 16–18 November 2026 at the Addis International Convention Center.
Organized by the African Agri Council, the event has been relocated from Durban to Addis Ababa, recognizing Ethiopia’s strategic position as the headquarters of the African Union and a key centre for continental agricultural policy, trade, and investment. The move is expected to strengthen collaboration between policymakers, investors, development partners, and the private sector to accelerate sustainable agricultural transformation across Africa.
The 2026 edition will be held under the theme:
“Scaling for Impact: Transforming Private Sector Commitments into Zero Hunger Realities.”
Advancing Agricultural Investment Across Africa
By hosting the event in Addis Ababa, the African Agri Investment Indaba aims to bring global institutional investors closer to Africa’s policy and investment ecosystem. Ethiopia’s expanding agro-industrial parks and strategic connectivity to regional and international trade corridors provide an ideal setting for promoting investment, agribusiness innovation, and market development.
According to Ben Leyka, Chief Executive Officer of the African Agri Council, relocating the Indaba represents an important milestone in expanding private sector investment opportunities across the continent by strengthening the connection between policy, finance, and implementation.
